M&F: Players have been getting progressively bigger every season. Is that going to carry on?

JH: I think it’s going to plateau soon.  I was in South Africa recently to see  the England under-20s and their forward pack were almost all 120 kg which, to a man, is bigger than the England first team. Obviously it’s a massive difference but I think it’s going to plateau because essentially the game is about mobility and skill. If you look at the guys who are the strongest, most powerful and break the most tackles, they’re not necessarily the biggest. M&F
