ADD PROTEIN TO EVERYTHING YOU EAT WITH THIS NUTRITIOUS ADDITION TO YOUR DIET

Hemp seeds are loaded with protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and several beneficial vitamins and minerals.  It’s best to get your fats with as little saturated and trans fats as possible, and hemp seeds earn top marks in this regard, providing plenty of essential fatty acids that your body uses for things like cell development and blood pressure regulation. “I’d say the greatest benefit would be the omega-3 fatty acids, which help reduce inflammation,” says Jim White, a registered dietitian. On top of that, hemp seeds are a complete protein, boasting a little more than nine grams per 25 g serving. They’re also full of vitamin E, which acts as an antioxidant in the body, and magnesium, which is needed for muscle growth. The mild taste makes them suitable for loads of dishes. “I think they’re great to throw in a salad,” White says. “They could be added to salmon and chicken because they can give them a little breading. Definitely put them in shakes, as well.” Try tossing hemp seeds in your morning oats to kick up the protein content before work.
