M&F: What does pre-season involve at Wasps?

JH: It’s essentially an opportunity to do some uninterrupted training where you’re not getting hammered in between with games. It’s a good chance to get your mobility, as well as your body, back to its best. We get mobility right and then build some protection with some of the bigger lifts. We’ll also do some work on hamstrings and calves, focusing on the posterior chain because a lot of guys in rugby have a big disconnect between their back and how well their glutes and hamstrings fire.
